Brickell

Brickell is a cosmopolitan community located in Miami. Considered one of South Florida's major financial districts, Brickell consists of a number of luxury South Florida condominium and apartment communities. About 17,500 residents call Brickell home year-round.

Among some of its many superlatives, Brickell has the largest concentration of international banks in the entire country and is one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Miami.  Between 2000 and 2009, Brickell's population exploded, rising from 40,000 to 70,000.

In addition to easy access to the Metrorail, which is Miami's heavy rail system, residents also have the Metromover train system.  The metromover, which connects with Metrorail, is free.  Stations are located about every two blocks throughout Brickell.

Brickell is also celebrated for being a pedestrian-friendly community.  In fact, many residents are known to use their own two feet or their bicycles as their main form of transportation. Given South Florida's amazing tropical weather, it's no wonder people would want to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
